Bio

Hello, my name is Andrew Pickett. I am 29 years old and currently attending American Public University. I am working on a certificate E-commerce. It was when I started working on my personal E-commerce website that I deiced to start working towards this certificate that I really fell in love with E-commerce. Before I started at American Public University I had just finished school at Universal Technical Institute (UTI) earning a degree in automotive technology while dealing with being involved in a tragic motorcycle accident which a lot of people usually wouldn't survive from but I walked away from with severe nerve damage to my right arm and still going through physical therapy for it but slowly but surely recovering from it well. But all of that was after serving 6 and half years in the United States Marine Corps as a 2171 Electra-Optical Ordnance Repairer.

Research Paper Blog Assignment

This blog entry is one relating to a research paper assignment that was required by one of my classes at American Public University. This class is name WEBD311 Internet Concepts. The research paper assignment that was required in this class asked us to write about a topic that was included or related to the scope of the class. I chose to write about What is the real process of web game making. In my paper, I used several resources to discuss the practice of process of web game making. The main issue that is discussed, both specifically and in subtopic discussions, is that There are so many internet games popping up now and days. But there is not numerous amount of people that knows what actual goes into making an internet game. This concept is then broken down into smaller, but equally important, topics that discuss the realities of team working and how it impacts the game. The significance of this study is to give an understanding of what it takes to make a web game; what is needed to design a web game; what is the targeted audience; and, to allow the reader to about the different types of web games. This opinion is supported through the use of different combined efforts of these practices and those of team working. All of these concepts are covered in great detail in my research paper and discuss processes used to make web video games and related professions that make up this field that are important to me. Writing this paper also gave me a greater appreciation for the field of video game developers in this fast-growing industry.
